Graduating in Mathematics and Applications of Signals and Systems

In the second year of the program there is an internship scheduled of 20EC. This amounts to roughly three months work. Another option is a combined internship and final project at a company for a total of 60EC or nine months work. An internship takes place at a company, a research institute or a foreign university. The main objective is to get an impression of the kind of work mathematicians might perform at a company or a research institute.

A student should first think about his or her wishes. Where does he want to perform his internship: geographically or which type of company? Does he have preference for the type of research, he wants to do? This is discussed with Anton Stoorvogel who coordinates the internships for MASS. We will then contact companies for the student to find an appropriate internship. But of course, a student can also directly contact a company and discuss the potential internship with us.
